Kiln Dried Firewood - 2' x 3'

A 2' x 3' load of kiln dried Southern Appalachian hardwood, delivered and unloaded wherever you want it. Splits run about 16" long and 3" thick, so they fit a standard fireplace, fire pit, or wood stove without any extra cutting.

This is the wood on its own. We unload it where you ask us to. If you would rather we stack it for you to make it a completely hands-off experience, add stacking to your order.

Kiln drying is what makes the difference. Forty-eight hours at 275F takes the moisture content down to 7-10%, so it lights easily and burns clean instead of hissing and smoking the way damp wood does. It's also why it does not pop and throw sparks - which matters to those burning in an indoor fireplace - and why nothing living comes into your garage or home with the wood.

Oak and hickory make up most of any load, and both put out very high heat. Cherry burns hot as well, so the mix works whether you are running a wood stove all evening or a fire pit for a couple of hours.

Firewood is usually sold by the cord, which is 128 cubic feet, so the sizes here are given as a fraction of one. Our splits are 16" long, and that length is the depth of the stack.
